Who is responsible and current contact availability
PIQE Color Lab is an independent self-service website operated from the Republic of Korea. PIQE does not currently operate a public privacy inbox or submission form and does not ask visitors to send personal data directly.
This policy covers piqe.art. Cloudflare, Google, museums, and other linked sites have their own policies and act under their own terms for the services they provide. Current support availability is documented separately.
Color tools and image files
Palette generation, conversion, contrast, gradients, mixing, and naming run in browser JavaScript. PIQE does not create an account or send the entered color values to a PIQE application database. Share URLs contain selected colors in the address; anyone who receives that URL can read those values.
The image color picker reads JPEG, PNG, and WebP files with the browser File and Canvas APIs. The file and pixel data remain on the device and are not uploaded to PIQE. Do not use the browser share or screenshot features if the resulting image or URL contains information you do not want to disclose.
Hosting and security logs
PIQE is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like most web infrastructure, Cloudflare may process IP address, request time, URL, referrer, user agent, approximate location derived from IP, security signals, and response details to deliver content, prevent abuse, and maintain reliability. PIQE does not use these logs to build individual color-interest profiles.
Security and diagnostic retention is governed by operational need and Cloudflare’s service configuration and policies. Aggregated, privacy-focused traffic measurement may be enabled through Cloudflare Web Analytics; it is intended not to use cookies or fingerprint individual visitors.
Google AdSense and cookies
PIQE plans to use Google AdSense after site approval. Until advertising is explicitly enabled, the production code does not load the AdSense ad-request script or render ad slots. The publisher-ownership meta tag and ads.txt record do not set an advertising cookie or request an ad.
After activation, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, IP addresses, device and browser information, ad identifiers, viewed pages, approximate location, consent signals, and interaction data to deliver, limit, measure, personalize, or prevent fraud in advertising. Google may use data from this site together with other information as described in its partner-site explanation.
Where required, PIQE will use a Google-certified consent management platform. Visitors in the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland will be offered consent, non-consent, and manage-options choices before personalized advertising storage is used. Relevant U.S. state opt-out messages will be configured in AdSense. The available choice may affect whether ads are personalized, non-personalized, or limited.
Your cookie and advertising choices
When the Google consent message is active, use its “Manage options,” “Do not consent,” or equivalent controls. A privacy-choice entry will remain available from the site interface or Google message so consent can be revisited. Browser settings can also block or delete cookies, but doing so may reset a prior choice.
You can manage Google advertising personalization through Google Ad Settings. Depending on location, you may also have rights to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. PIQE does not maintain or sell a contact list or user-account data.
Purposes and legal bases
Essential hosting and security processing supports delivery of the service, protection against abuse, and the legitimate operation of a requested website. Where consent is legally required for advertising storage or personalized ads, PIQE relies on the consent choice; refusing consent must be available without being forced to accept personalized ads.
Some jurisdictions use different legal terminology. PIQE applies the choice and disclosure requirements configured for relevant regions and does not treat this policy as a waiver of rights granted by local law.
Service providers and international transfers
Cloudflare and Google operate global infrastructure, so technical and advertising data may be processed outside the visitor’s country, including in the United States and other locations where they or their subprocessors operate. Transfers use the contractual and legal mechanisms offered by the relevant provider for the service and region.
PIQE will update this section if a new service begins processing visitor data in a materially different way. Museum images are hosted locally at launch, so viewing an artwork on PIQE does not require a request to the museum image CDN.
Privacy rights and children
Depending on location, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, consent withdrawal, or advertising opt-out. Use the Google consent message and provider privacy controls linked above for data handled by those services; PIQE has no account, form, inbox, or application database through which it can match a visitor to submitted records.
PIQE is a general-audience color education site and does not knowingly collect personal information from children through accounts, forms, or direct messages. The image picker runs locally and should not be used with material the user is not authorized to access.
Changes to this policy
The launch policy is effective and last reviewed September 2, 2026. Material changes to advertising, analytics, storage, contact collection, providers, or legal obligations will update the text and date. Old wording may be retained in version control for accountability.
A major new collection practice will not be hidden behind a date change. It will be explained before or when the practice is introduced, with a consent choice where required.
